Police probe Beaumont Leys farm sheep attack

Two sheep were injured in an attack at a city farm in Leicester.

The attack happened between 0900 BST and 1100 BST on Saturday, when staff at Gorse Hill City Farm, in Beaumont Leys, discovered the injured animals.

The sheep were taken to a vet, where they received treatment to a number of injuries, police said.

It is thought the wounds were caused by a dog. Leicestershire Police has appealed for anyone with any information to contact them.
