A46 Leicestershire fatal crash victim named by police

A 41-year-old man who died in a three-vehicle crash on the A46 in Leicestershire has been identified by police.

Andrew Peel, from Groby, died when his Audi TT collided with a tractor and trailer and VW Transporter van near the A6 turn for Wanlip, on Tuesday morning.

He died at the scene. The van driver was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

Two men, aged 21 and 24, were arrested but have been released on police bail.

The road was closed for more than 12 hours following the crash.

Anyone who witnessed it has been asked to contact Leicestershire Police.
