Man charged over Leicestershire postmaster abduction

A man has been charged in connection with an attempted robbery in which a postmaster was forcibly driven to his Leicestershire branch.

On 9 February the victim was approached in Edwalton, Nottingham, and taken to his post office in Barrow-upon-Soar.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday and has been charged with kidnap, carrying a firearm in a public place and attempted robbery.

A second man also arrested has since been released on police bail.
