Barlestone man killed in three-car crash

A 40-year-old man killed in a three-vehicle crash in Leicestershire has been identified by police.

The collision happened at 18:20 BST on 19 July on the A447 Hinckley Road in Barlestone, near the Barton Road and Lount Road junction.

Chasey Price, who was driving a Ford Focus and was from the village, died.

A woman, who was driving a Peugeot 207, suffered serious injuries and is in a critical but stable condition. The driver of a Toyota Corolla was unhurt.

Det Con Adam Sparrow, of Leicestershire Police, said: "The Focus was travelling towards Barlestone and the other two vehicles were travelling in the opposite direction towards Nailstone at the time of the collision.

"We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or saw any of the vehicles beforehand, to please contact police urgently."
