Men fall from cherry picker in Leicestershire

Two men have been airlifted to hospital after falling about 20ft (6m) from a cherry picker in Leicestershire.

It happened at a construction site near Great Glen just before 08:00 BST.

One of the men, who is in his 50s, was taken to the specialist trauma centre in Coventry with pelvic, chest and abdominal injuries.

Both men are in a "reasonably stable" condition, the air ambulance service said. The Health and Safety Executive is investigating.
