Two die in crash near railway line at Ashby

Two people died when a car crashed near a Leicestershire railway line, according to police.

Police said a black Nissan left the road on Willesley Lane in Ashby at about 18:00 BST on Wednesday.

The driver and passenger were both killed. They have not yet been formally identified.

Officers said the car was travelling from Willesley towards Norris Hill at the time of the collision and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
