Arrests follow Market Harborough jewellers ram-raid

Two men have been arrested over a raid on a jewellers shop where a vehicle was used to smash down a door.

Steffans Jewellers in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, was targeted at 04:45 GMT.

The men, aged 35 and 38, were arrested in Northamptonshire and property believed to be linked to the offence was also recovered, police said.

Officers said a suspect vehicle had been found on the A508 near Great Oxendon, in Northamptonshire.

There have been four other recent raids in the county where diggers or lifters have been used to take cashpoints but police said they were not linked to this crime.
