Woman charged during Lincoln stab inquiry

A woman has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Lincoln.

Stuart Whitelaw, 40, of Elder Street, Lincoln, was attacked in the Mezz Bar in Ruston Way, on 3 May. He was taken to hospital but pronounced dead.

Charmaine Wells, 22, of Allenby Close, Lincoln, has been charged with perverting the course of justice in relation to the investigation.

Joe Palmer, 26, of Allenby Close, Lincoln, is charged with murder.

He is due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on 3 September.

Ms Wells has been released on police bail and is expected to appear at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Friday.
