Police have appealed for information after an inmate absconded from an open prison in Lincolnshire.

Michael Anthony Bratton, 22, escaped on Tuesday from North Sea Camp Prison in Boston where he was serving a five-year sentence for robbery.

Police said numerous inquiries had been carried out since he went missing and they have now appealed for the public to report any sightings of him.

Bratton is described as white, 6ft 2in (1.88m) tall with brown hair.

Lincolnshire Police are advising anyone who sees Bratton not to approach him, but to contact them immediately.

North Sea Camp Prison is a Category D jail for adult males.
