Car mounts pavement towards girls in Horncastle

Police in Lincolnshire are appealing for witnesses after a car drove at and clipped a young girl.

Two girls, aged 10 and 12, were walking along the A158 Jubilee Way, Horncastle, at about 1230 BST on Sunday when a small hatchback mounted the pavement.

Officers said one girl was clipped by the car. She was not injured but left "very shaken" by the incident.

The road and area was very busy at that time and police have urged anyone who saw the incident to contact them.
