Three arrests over Alford toddler's head injuries
Two men and a woman have been arrested after a Lincolnshire toddler was taken to hospital with severe head injuries.
Police were contacted by the Princess Diana Hospital in Grimsby on Monday after a 20-month-old boy, from Alford, was admitted with serious injuries.
A man and woman, both 24 from Alford, and a man, 59, from Mablethorpe were arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The Alford pair were released on bail. The other man is being questioned.
The boy has since been transferred to Sheffield Children's Hospital. He remains in a critical condition.
Officers said they were treating the incident as suspicious.
