The crash, involving a green Peugeot and a white Fiat van, happened at about 0930 BST on Monday on the A607 in Leadenham.

The people in the Peugeot were cut free by fire fighters. The driver, a local man, was airlifted to Lincoln County Hospital where he later died.

The driver of the van, a 41-year-old man from Derby, and a 17-year-old male passenger were unhurt, police said.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
