A man and a woman and their dog have been rescued from a house fire in Lincolnshire which is believed to have been started deliberately.
Crews from Louth and North Somercotes were called to the house in Queensway, Louth, just after midnight.
Emergency services said the front door of the property had been deliberately set alight in an arson attack.
Police forensic officers and fire investigators using a specially trained dog are checking the scene.
No-one was hurt in the incident, but the police said the quick actions of fire crews prevented a potential tragedy.
Detectives have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
