River body death in Gainsborough 'not suspicious'

The death of an elderly woman whose body was found in the River Trent in Lincolnshire is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers were called to Riverside Walk in Gainsborough at about 1300 BST on Tuesday and fire crews recovered the body from the water near Field Lane.

An investigation was launched to identify the woman and discover how she came to be in the river.

Detectives have now confirmed the death was not suspicious.
