A bomb disposal team recovered and disposed of the shell
Bomb disposal experts were called to a Lincolnshire property after a wartime shell was found in a garden, police confirmed.
Officers were called to an address on Admiralty Road, Mablethorpe, after the item was discovered by a woman while digging in her garden on Thursday.
An explosives team recovered the shell and disposed of it at Donna Nook.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said the property was evacuated as a precautionary measure.
