A Lincolnshire man was carried along on the bonnet of a car for more than a mile after challenging two men who he thought were stealing copper.

The 36-year-old saw a red Citroen Saxo on the A16 Spalding Road in Boston, Lincolnshire, on Monday lunchtime.

The car was driven at him and he was carried along on the bonnet but was not badly injured.

Two men aged 19 and 21 have been arrested and bailed. Officers want to speak to any witnesses.
