Thieves in £70,000 Stamford china shop raid

China and jewellery worth about £70,000 has been stolen from a shop in Lincolnshire.

Thieves broke in to Sinclair's in St Mary's Street, Stamford, just before midnight on Tuesday by forcing a window on the roof.

Police said they believed the raid was well planned and high-value items had been targeted.

They are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact them.

Officers said a complete list of items taken and their value was still being compiled.
