North Sea Camp absconder gets extra six months

An inmate who absconded from an open prison in Lincolnshire has had six months added to his sentence.

Michael Anthony Bratton, 22, left North Sea Camp Prison in Boston, where he was serving a five-year sentence for robbery, on 17 August.

He walked to Lincoln and six days later telephoned police in Skegness to arrange to meet officers who then arrested him.

Bratton appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on Friday.

North Sea Camp Prison is a Category D jail for adult males.
