Fire crews in Lincolnshire had to rescue three people when an ambulance left the road and ended up in a ditch.

Police and firefighters were called to the B1183 at Frithville near Boston at about 1300 GMT on Wednesday.

The East Midlands Ambulance Service vehicle skidded on ice and rolled into a ditch. A patient and two staff were not injured.

A spokesman from Lincolnshire Police said gritters had been called out to help with the icy conditions.
