Driver dies from injuries as car hits lamp post on A15

A motorist was killed when his car came off a road in Lincolnshire.

Christopher Lancaster, 33, was on the A15 at Scampton on Thursday evening when his Honda Civic struck a lamp post.

Mr Lancaster, from Winterton near Scunthorpe, was taken to Lincoln County Hospital but pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved but anyone with information is asked to contact police.
