Suspected car thieves chased into Tesco in Lincoln

A silver BMW was towed away after the incident

Two men have been arrested at a Lincoln supermarket after suspected thieves abandoned a stolen vehicle in the store's car park and ran inside.

Humberside Police had been following the car, believed to be a silver BMW, after it was taken from Immingham.

The car stopped at Tesco on Wragby Road in Lincoln, at about 1430 BST, and three men ran out of the vehicle into the supermarket.

Two men were arrested at the scene and police are still looking for a third.

The supermarket was not closed and is continuing to trade as normal.
