An investigation has been launched into an accident at a shipping company that left a worker with a spinal injury.
A forklift truck driver loading a shipping container at Selvic Shipping, Stallingborough, was injured when his ramp jolted suddenly.
The driver was airlifted to hospital after suffering a fractured vertebra which pressed onto his spinal cord causing a loss of feeling in his legs.
North East Lincolnshire Council is investigating the incident.
The driver has undergone an operation and is said to be "bearing up well".
Environmental health officer Ian Clarke said: "The focus of the investigation is to try to determine why the ramp moved and what, if anything, might be done to reduce the risk of a recurrence."
