Nettleham crash leaves two dead

A man and woman have died after a crash involving two cars near Lincoln.

The collision, involving a Vauxhall Astra and a Citroen Xsara, happened close to the Brown Cow pub on the A46 at Nettleham on Thursday evening.

The Xsara driver, Paul Payne, 42, of Plough Hill, Caistor; and Sara Horsley, 47, from Lincoln Road, Dunholme, who was in the Astra, died in hospital.

Police said the driver and another passenger from the Astra were injured and taken to Lincoln County Hospital.

Lincolnshire Police has appealed for any witnesses to the crash, which happened at 1910 GMT, to contact officers.
