Four more arrests in Gainsborough burglary crackdown

Police have arrested four more people on suspicion of burglary after several raids in Lincolnshire.

The raids have followed at least 30 burglaries in Gainsborough in the past few weeks, Lincolnshire police said.

A total of eight people have been arrested by police using search warrants.

Areas of the town where the break-ins occurred included High Street, Queen Street, the Terraces, Pasture Road, Parnell Street and Balfour Street.

All eight people have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

The thieves have broken in through doors and windows and stolen items such as laptops and games consoles.

Police are asking residents to be aware of any suspicious activity and to be careful over household security.
