Driver arrested over death of biker in East Kirkby

A motorist has been arrested after a biker was killed in a road crash in Lincolnshire.

The 53-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene on the A155 Main Road at East Kirkby, near Spilsby, on Saturday evening.

He had been riding a red Ducati bike which was in collision with a Jaguar.

The car's driver, a 56-year-old man from Cambridge, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

He has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The identity of motorcyclist, a local man, has not yet been released.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, which happened at about 1740 BST, should contact Lincolnshire Police.
