Police appeal over gang attack on Spalding man

A 45-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries sustained after he was assaulted in a Lincolnshire town.

The victim was found in Winsover Road, near to the Aldi store, in Spalding, in the early hours of Easter Sunday.

Police believe he may have been attacked by a group of men who kicked him before leaving him unconscious.

It is thought his mobile phone and a quantity of cash were also taken during the attack.

A police spokesperson said the man was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital and discharged the following day.
