Police name motorcyclist killed in Spalding road crash

Police have named a motorcylist who died in a crash in Lincolnshire.

Patryk Wojtczak, 30, from Poland and living in Spalding, was involved in a collision with a Renault van on London Road in the town on Tuesday afternoon.

Mr Wojtczak was taken to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston by Air Ambulance, where he was pronounced dead.

Following the collision the road was closed whilst an investigation was carried out.

Police have said it was the 30th fatality on Lincolnshire's roads this year, compared to 28 deaths by the same time last year.

They are appealing for witnesses to the collision, or to anyone who saw the red and white Yamaha 600 in the area at about 13:55 BST.
