Teen hurt as car flips over during Spalding police pursuit
A teenager is being treated for a neck injury after a car being followed by police flipped over in a garden.
The 15-year-old was a passenger in a blue MG ZR saloon, which was seen by a police patrol in suspicious circumstances in Spalding on Wednesday.
Lincolnshire Police said the boy's injury was not thought to be life-threatening.
The 18-year-old driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.
The pursuit began at 1:11 GMT.
Overturned in garden
A police spokesperson said officers tried to stop the car before following it to Holbeach.
It left the road and overturned in a garden in Fleet Road, near to the junction with Foxes Low Road.
A second passenger, aged 16, was arrested nearby but he has since been released without charge.
The 15-year-old was arrested later at a local house on suspicion of criminal damage and breaching bail conditions.
The driver and the 15-year-old were taken to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, and the driver was released after treatment.
Lincolnshire Police has referred the incident to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
