Two arrested over Lincoln stabbing death

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dying on a Lincoln street.

The 44-year-old victim, who has not been named, died soon after being discovered in the Portland Street area of the city centre early on Saturday.

A post-mortem has confirmed he suffered a single stab wound to the chest.

Two men, aged 32 and 38, of no fixed address, have been arrested and are currently in police custody pending interview.

Several parts of the city centre were sealed off after the death.

Detectives have appealed for witnesses who may have seen something suspicious just before 06:00 BST on Saturday between Great Northern Terrace and Broadgate Bridge near Witham Park.
