Baby injured when car flips over on Lincolnshire road

A mother and her 11-month-old baby were injured when their car overturned after being forced off a Lincolnshire road.

The woman was driving a Ford Ranger from Carlby towards the Essendine Road and Pickworth Road junction when it was forced off the road by a silver car.

The Ford rolled three times before it came to a stop. The silver car drove off without stopping at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened on Saturday just after 15:15 BST.

Both the mother and her baby boy were taken to Peterborough City hospital.

Lincolnshire Police said their injuries were not life threatening.
