An arsonist who drove an elderly couple from their Lincolnshire home is still being sought a year after the last attack, police have said.

Peter and Sylvia Cox, then aged 82 and 74, narrowly escaped the fire which destroyed the house on High Street, Castle Bytham, on 4 May 2010.

Officers said they knew the suspect wore a Halloween mask during the attack but the motive was a mystery.

They have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

It is believed a firework was used to start the fire, which was one of a series of attacks.

Det Supt Jon Shield said he wanted people to take another look at the case and come forward if they had any information.

"This was an extremely traumatic experience for the couple and they could easily have been killed in their own home.

"It is important that people visit our website to look at the CCTV images of the suspect that we have already released.

"If anyone knows the man on the bike, wearing a Halloween-style mask, then please get in touch with us as soon as possible."
