Spalding primary school police investigation ends
Police have ended an investigation at a Lincolnshire school after concluding there was no substance to an allegation made about a member of staff.
School head Paul Reid was replaced by deputy Helen Stray while officers carried out inquiries at St John the Baptist primary school in Spalding.
Police said they had now established no individual at the school was guilty of any wrongdoing.
Lincolnshire County Council could not confirm if Mr Reid was back in charge.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers have conducted thorough and extensive inquiries in relation to the matter and have determined that, whilst the report was made in good faith, there was no substance to the allegation and that no individual is suspected of any wrongdoing.
"Police recognise that this has been an extremely difficult time for everyone involved and would like to thank staff and governors at the school for their co-operation."
Neither the police or the council would give any further information on the nature of the allegation.
