A major route through Lincoln has been closed following an accident involving a cement lorry and a combine harvester.

The accident happened on the A15, Lindum Road, close to Lincoln Cathedral, at about 07:30 BST.

About 250 litres of diesel was spilled when the two vehicles collided on a corner outside Minster School.

Long queues built up on diversion routes while the fuel was cleared and the road did not reopen until just after 14:00 BST.
