A Lincolnshire man has admitted the manslaughter of a love rival he attacked with an ice pick after a row.

Lincoln Crown Court heard Jamie Rawson, 22, fatally injured Peter Schruyers, 31, at a flat in Wainfleet Road, Skegness, in August 2011.

Rawson's plea, on the basis that he lost control, was accepted by the prosecution on Tuesday.

Rawson was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on 13 August.

The men had fallen out over women they both knew and had rowed on the phone before the confrontation.

The court was told both men went to the flat armed.

Mr Schruyers was struck in the head and died five days later at a hospital in Nottingham.

Rawson had previously denied a charge of murder.
