A 24-year-old man arrested on suspicion of an arson attack on a maisonette in Lincoln has been released on bail.

The occupants of about 10 homes were evacuated from Westminster House, on the Ermine estate in Welton Gardens, on Sunday evening.

Nobody was hurt in the fire but a dog inside the maisonette died.

The man has been bailed pending further inquiries. Police said they were not looking for any other suspects but appealed for witnesses.
