Cyclist dies after collision with car in Crowland

A cyclist has died following a collision with a car in Lincolnshire.

The crash happened at about 08:30 BST on Sunday at the junction of the B1166 and B16 in Crowland.

The cyclist, who has been identified by Lincolnshire Police as a 57-year-old local man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the black Audi car, a 50-year-old woman, was arrested for dangerous driving and taken to Spalding police station for questioning.

The road was closed by officers for several hours after the crash.

Officers have asked anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
