Rapist Lee Schofield uploaded footage on to internet
A rapist who filmed himself attacking an unconscious woman and uploaded the footage on to the internet has been jailed.
Lee Schofield used alcohol to make his victim unconscious, and a judge said he treated her as an object for his gratification and entertainment.
Schofield admitted two charges of rape and five charges of sexual assault.
The 45-year-old, of Foxby Lane, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, was jailed for 15 years at Lincoln Crown Court.
Judge Stuart Rafferty described Schofield as depraved, and said he humiliated and degraded his victim.
"You treated this woman as an object for your gratification and your entertainment," he said.
"You planned this, you set about it and you persisted in it."
The offences dated back to 2005.
Lincolnshire Police said they came to light when DVDs were found showing graphic footage.
Adrienne Lucking, prosecuting, said Schofield was arrested in March 2012 shortly after the offences came to light.
She said the victim was attacked while she was asleep and at the time was completely unaware of what had happened to her.
But the court heard she has been badly affected and has since suffered nightmares and panic attacks.
Det Con David Patten, the investigating officer, said: "This is one of the worst cases we have dealt with.
"The offending took place without the knowledge of the victim. When she found out about what she had been subjected to, she was understandably horrified.
"The 15-year sentence reflects the horrendous nature of the crimes. It's reassuring to know that Schofield will be behind bars for a very long time."
