A couple has admitted killing a man after an altercation at a wake.

Wayne Baxter, 44, was found with multiple stab wounds at his killers' home in Croft near Skegness on 2 March last year.

Earlier that day he had been in the Woolpack pub in Wainfleet, where there had been a "disturbance" while a wake was taking place.

Sean Booth, 26, and Sarah Booth, 37, pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of loss of control.

They had been due to stand trial for murder but prosecutor Peter Joyce QC accepted the pleas.

He said: "The Crown takes the view that it is appropriate to accept these pleas of guilty and there is no need for a trial on the charge of murder."

Sentencing was adjourned until 13 March.
