Fourth arrest over fatal pub stabbing in Lewisham

A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 54-year-old man stabbed to death outside a pub in south London.

The yet unnamed victim was stabbed in the heart following an altercation outside the Downham Tavern in Downham Way on Saturday night, police said.

Another man, in his 20s, who was also injured, remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The arrested man, in his 30s, remains in police custody in south London.

Two other men and a woman who were arrested over the stabbing have been bailed until August.
