Man charged over raid at jewellery shop in Kingston


A man has been charged with aggravated burglary over a raid at a jewellery shop in south-west London.

Fraser Hart Jewellers in Bentalls Shopping Centre in Kingston was targeted and designer watches stolen in the early hours of Wednesday.

James Smith, 26, of Staveley Close, Islington, north London, will appear at Kingston Magistrates' Court later.

Two other men, aged 32 and 33, who were arrested, have been bailed to return in October.

A fourth man, 21, arrested over the raid has been released without charge.
