Bromley policewoman charged in corruption inquiry

A neighbourhood police officer and her partner have been charged as part of an inquiry into corruption.

Pc Anna Glynn, 29, and Lee Wilton, 30, are accused of conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

Pc Glynn was arrested on suspicion of falsifying information about speeding points on behalf of her partner.

The officer, of the Mottingham and Chislehurst North unit in Bromley, south London, is continuing to work on restricted duties.

Pc Glynn's arrest in June was part of an investigation by the MPS Directorate of Professional Standards over claims of criminal offences and misconduct.

It followed the arrest of a police community support officer on suspicion of class A drugs supply, who was subsequently suspended.

He was bailed until a date this month.

Pc Glynn and Mr Wilton are due to appear before City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
