Man shot at west London petrol station

A man has been shot at a petrol station in west London in the early hours of Sunday.

Police were called to reports that a man had suffered a gunshot wound on Goldhawk Road near Stamford Brook Tube station, at about 0400 BST.

The 21-year-old was taken to a west London hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

No arrests have been made. Metropolitan Police's Operation Trident officers unit are investigating.

The unit looks at gun crime in London's African and Caribbean communities.
