Arrests over High Street Kensington smash and grab raid

Three people have been arrested after armed robbers smashed their way into a jewellers in west London.

Police were alerted when the Ernest Jones shop in Kensington High Street was targeted by the gang at 1040 BST.

Detectives said five men on three motorbikes armed with hammers were involved in the raid.

It is not known if anything was taken in the robbery. One man was detained at the scene by members of the public and another two men were arrested later.
