A man and a woman have been charged over the death of their baby daughter.

The 10-month-old from Walthamstow, east London, died after being taken to hospital with breathing difficulties in March.

Tests revealed the child had died from pneumonia caused by inhalation of food into the lungs.

A 36-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman from Walthamstow have been charged with causing or allowing the death of the child.

They are due to appear at Waltham Forest Magistrates' Court on 16 December.
