Battered body of woman, 86, found in Bromley by police


Police have launched a murder investigation after the battered body of an 86-year-old woman was found at her home in south east London.

Officers were called to an address in Oakridge Road, Bromley, on Sunday evening amid concerns over the welfare of a resident.

They found Jean Jobson - known as Pat - at the property with head injuries and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Tuesday in Greenwich.

Next of kin have been informed.

No arrests have been made in relation to the case.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Metropolitan Police or Crimestoppers.
