Man accused of murdering Albert Wright in Hainault

A man has been accused of murdering an 80-year-old who was stabbed to death at his home in east London.

Officers found Albert Wright, who was known as Bert, at the property in Trelawney Road, Hainault, on 25 February. He had suffered multiple stab wounds, the Metropolitan Police said.

Mark Robinson, 34, of Green Court, Green Close in Luton, has been charged with murder.

Mr Robinson will appear at Redbridge Magistrates' Court later.
