Man suffers critical head injury in West End attack

A man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was attacked after a night-out in London's West End.

The 38-year-old victim was found with head injuries on Saturday morning in Regent Street, police said.

He had boarded the N109 bus at the junction of Oxford Circus and Regent Street after leaving the Loop bar in Dering Street at about 0230 BST.

Det Sgt Bruce Mascall said: "Our victim has suffered serious head injuries which are considered life-threatening."
