Matthew Quesada faces trial over Alan Smith murder

A man who has been charged with murdering a 63-year-old in a cafe in Leyton, east London, is to stand trial next year.

Matthew Quesada, 25, of no fixed address, is accused of stabbing Alan Smith at the Roma Cafe on Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, on 26 March.

Mr Smith suffered fatal injuries to his heart and lungs and could not be saved by ambulance crews.

Mr Quesada is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 6 February.
