Man in 'racial incident' arrest after Arsenal-Newcastle match
A man has been arrested in an inquiry into alleged racist behaviour at a football match between Arsenal and Newcastle United.
The alleged incident occurred during Arsenal's home Premier League match against Newcastle United, on 12 March.
Police said a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of racially-aggravated public disorder.
He was bailed to return to Islington Police Station, next month.
An Arsenal Football Club spokesperson said: "We reiterate that Arsenal Football Club does not tolerate foul language, racist chanting, homophobic chanting or any anti-social behaviour at Emirates Stadium.
"We will continue to act with zero tolerance towards any individual found to be acting in an abusive manner."
