Arrest after boy stabbed at Walthamstow Central station
A teenager has been arrested after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed at an east London Tube station following an altercation.
The boy, of Leyton, was stabbed in the stomach after a row with two youths on a platform in Walthamstow Central station on Thursday.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and he is in a stable condition in hospital.
The 16-year-old, of Chingford Mount, was arrested on suspicion of affray.
The boy, who was arrested at the scene, has since been bailed and due to return for further inquiries in June.
The station was closed for more than four hours following the stabbing at 16:30 BST on Thursday.
Det Ch Insp Hugh Borgeat, of the British Transport Police, said: "We have already made several lines of inquiry into this incident, including seizing CCTV footage in and around the area to try and piece together what took place before, during and after the attack."
